What is
"Good In The Wood" ?
We believe everybody should have regular, long-term access to a woodland or natural environment which provides them with inspirational and challenging outdoor life learning opportunities. Good in the wood aims are to facilitate access to the outdoors for everyone whatever their experience level is, we will provide opportunities to interact with the woodland environment safely. Participants young and old will have opportunities to learn new skills through supported self-directed exploration of the natural environment. Participants who come to the woods with us will be given the opportunity to develop their curiosity, confidence, self-esteem, creativity, empathy, communication skills, knowledge of the natural environment and ability to assess risk.We run sessions in Forest School, Archery, Tree climbing, Wellbeing sessions, Wilderness therapeutic Interventions, Bushcraft and Training for practitioners. Please check out our sessions and hopefully you will find something, if none of our sessions suit your needs then get in touch and we can design something for you.
